Ice reward innovation with ‘Game to Watch’ competition
Ice is once again living up to its reputation for being the centre of gaming innovation. The world's biggest business-to-business gaming event, which has been the launchpad for many of gaming's landmark products and services, is staging the 2nd annual Game to Watch competition as part of the Game Design & Development Conference.
Taking place at 4.30pm on Wednesday 4th February, the competition will see four short-listed independent games developers pitch their ideas to a distinguished panel of industry judges comprising Bruce Bale, Head of Social Gaming & Development, Sky Betting & Gaming; Shane Stafford, Creative Director, Paddy Power; Mark Clohessy, Casino and Games Product Manager, BetClic Everest Group; and, Yariv Lavi, Director, Business Development, 888 Holdings. As part of the pitch the panel will question each of the finalists before deciding on the winner of the Ice ‘Game to Watch 2015’.
Ice Marketing Director Jo Mayer said: "Ice is renowned for being the gaming event of the year for companies to launch new products to an international audience. Based on that hard earned reputation we are delighted to once again stage the Game To Watch competition and to have attracted such a stellar list of judges. Innovation is at the heart of gaming and the industry is one of the earliest adopters of new technology. Gaming's currency is brilliant ideas and Game To Watch is a fantastic opportunity for independent developers to pitch their newest products and see if they capture the imagination of the industry's smartest minds."
