Gaming & Technology Expo takes a chance on Mexico
The Cancún Center is the fairground chosen for the debut of GAT Caribe Cancún, a first-class business meeting supported by AIEJA.
The organization of GAT Caribe Cancún announces new updates for the event that will take place on November 26, 27, and 28. Today, Mexico is a leading global nation with strong economic indicators. The beginning of the government of the country's first female president and the end of AMLO's six-year term have sparked all kinds of current and future economic analyses for this Latin American giant, which ranks among the top 15 economies in the world and the second in the region after Brazil.
The Cancún Center is the fairground chosen for the debut of GAT Caribe Cancún, a first-class business meeting supported by AIEJA, the Association of Permit Holders, Operators, and Providers of the Entertainment and Gaming Industry in Mexico. Once the GAT academic day concludes on November 26, AIEJA will hold its 52nd Ordinary Assembly, the third of 2024, for the first time outside of Mexico City, in the context of GAT Caribe Cancún, in the Costa Maya Hall.
Miguel Ángel Ochoa, President of the important Mexican association, comments on the Strategic Alliance initiated this year between AIEJA and GAT: “There is great anticipation among AIEJA members regarding GAT Cancún; we are 100% supporting this event. For Mexico, welcoming GAT, an organization already highly prestigious in Latin America, boosts physical exhibitions that have not been held in our country for more than a decade. These exhibitions are essential to bring together the opportunity to do business, define investments, and forge productive alliances into a single event.”
Regarding GAT’s arrival in Mexico, José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of the organization, says: “I believe we made the right choice in selecting this new destination. The timing is very special, and the numbers regarding the country’s development dynamics and the gaming industry, in particular, are very positive. Mexico's appeal to investors is undeniable: 3.5% annual GDP growth, 4% inflation, and only 3% unemployment. The Mexican economy, valued at $1.70 trillion, has made a quantum leap, surpassing Spain, for example, on the international stage. The future of the industry’s expansion lies in Latin America.”
At G2E Las Vegas from October 8 to 10, GAT will be represented by Yamile Gutiérrez, Director for the Caribbean and Founder of G&G Studio Legal, who will be attending meetings with companies looking to participate in the Cancún event next month and/or at GAT Expo Cartagena 2025, scheduled for April 28, 29, and 30. Likewise, Dr. Miguel Ángel Ochoa will address the concerns of his associates during the AIEJA assembly on November 26 at The Venetian Expo, as well as of executives eager to attend or participate in GAT Caribe Cancún.
