Following the easing of Covid restrictions in the UK, Clarion Gaming Ceo Stuart Hunter invites the industry to Ice London in April, with over 450 brands on display.

Thanks to strong visitor demand, robust Covid-19 protocols and the easing of restrictions by the UK government, Ice London will take place from 12 to 14 April at ExCeL London. The event will be missing some exhibitors, but this does not change the organizers' programs. With over 450 brands still present at the show and significant support from the shopper communities, Clarion Gaming remains focused on reuniting the industry. "As a team we never like to lose any of our exhibitors, but we will always respect their reasons for deciding not to attend," says Clarion Gaming Ceo Stuart Hunter. "Ours are lifelong customers and we are working with them to help some maintain a presence at Ice by sponsoring and hosting customers at the event, also confirming their return in 2023. We always strive to stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry and our customers, both in good times and in bad times. " As always, the Ceo recalls, the Ice brand works to represent the entire gaming ecosystem, including small businesses that rely on the London appointment for a significant portion of their annual turnover.   Support for the new april dates remained strong, with independent research of 1,300 attendees conducted by Explori showing that just under three-quarters (74 percent) of respondents still plan to be at the fair from April 12-14. The new dates also secured the support of the European casino association, ensuring the participation of a large contingent of European land-based operators. This research was undertaken before the UK Government announced that vaccinated international travelers will not have to take a Covid test upon arrival in England from 11 February. "This is an important development that will encourage more visitors to make the trip to London and be part of the Ice experience," continues Hunter. “In addition, the UK government has switched to Plan A Covid, which provides for a significant decrease in restrictions for Covid, including the end of mandatory masks and a relaxation of the rules applicable to Covid certification passports. From this point of view, the UK and Ice London are very open to business. " All without forgetting Clarion's commitment to implementing the All secure risk assessment framework for the events industry, a guide to best practices for delivering events when Covid transmission remains a risk. The protocols have been fully tested through Clarion Events and are flexible enough to respond and adapt to a dynamic and rapidly changing scenario, explains Hunter, to ensure the Ice experience can be both safe and business-friendly. “We knew that returning to events in person would not be easy, but we also know from our experience of organizing iGb Live! in Amsterdam last fall, how much the industry has lost in-person events and the ability to meet, network and do business, "concludes the Ceo of Clarion gaming." The team is completely focused on the task at hand and will do everything what is needed to deliver an unforgettable celebration of the industry when it meets in London. " Further announcements are expected in the coming weeks on the initiatives and features that will be added to the event, such as Pitch Ice, the Consumer Protection Zone and Hosted Buyers program, as well as the Ice Vox conference.
