Many of the gambling industry’s best known brands will be participating in the annual Chips Charity Golf Tournament which is being hosted by the prestigious Woburn Golf Club, Tuesday 3rd September.

The Chips charity which was born out of the gambling industry raises much-needed funds to purchase bespoke powered wheelchairs for young people with profound mobility issues.

The tournament is Chips’ major fundraising event of the year and has enabled the charity to purchase over 700 wheelchairs, in the process changing the lives of young people and their families.

Looking ahead to the tournament Chips co-founder Linda Lindsay said: “The annual Golf Day has attracted a total of 25 teams from businesses including 500Logistics, Ambassadeurs Group, Aspers, Cammegh, Clarion Gaming, Colony Club, Crown Aspinalls, FortyfiveKensington, Genting UK, Grosvenor Casinos, Harris Hagan, Hippodrome Casino, Metropolitan Gaming, MERKUR UK, Novomatic, Palm Beach Casino, TCSJH and Westcliffe Casino.”

She added: “We have been donated a wide range of fantastic prizes to auction. Alongside golf at leading courses including Forest of Arden, Woburn, The Grove and the Remedy Club and some outstanding hospitality experiences at the Hippodrome Casino, Clarion Gaming has donated a Vip Experience at January’s Ice Barcelona which includes travel, hotel accommodation and a pre-paid Visa card loaded with 200 Euros. I am so proud to confirm that literally every penny we raise goes towards the purchase of wheelchairs: none of the CHIPS Trustees take a penny in expenses, which places us amongst the most efficient charities found anywhere in the world.”
