The Eag leadership team has added the Showmen’s Guild of Great Britain to its partnership network of trade associations and supporting strategic bodies.

The Guild, which is accepted at both national and local levels as being the recognised negotiating body for travelling showmen, joins Euromat, the Bingo Association and Eag owners Bacta on the roster of respected representative bodies feeding into the development programme for what is the only business-to-business expo catering for the entire out of home entertainment sector.

Eag Chairman Martin Burlin, who has participated in Eag and its predecessor Atei for more than five decades, stated: “Every trade body will have a different set of objectives and by engaging and listening to their needs we are able to ensure that as far as possible they are represented at Eag. Taking the Showmen’s Guild of Great Britain as an example, the conversations that we’ve had have identified a list of initiatives that we can integrate into our show development plans over both the short and mid-terms.”

He continued:  “The Eag Bingo Hub has been created with the help of the Bingo Association and the partnership agreement we announced in the summer with Euromat to provide its corporate members with discounted exhibiting will help extend Eag’s reach into the European market. Our core partnership with Eag owners Bacta guarantees that every initiative that we introduce is in the best interests of the industry and of Bacta members both exhibitors and visitors alike.”

January’s edition of Eag Expo will be the biggest since the event was launched in 2010. Celebrating the 16th consecutive edition to be held at ExCeL London, Eag organisers are marking the occasion with the addition of two new dedicated sections. The Social Immersive Entertainment Expo and the London Casino and Gaming Show will sit alongside Eag as a natural expansion, offering new revenue streams for both operators and manufacturers.

Looking ahead to January Martin Burlin said: “In 2024 the Eag attendance exceeded 4,000 and the two new additions to the show offering will reflect what our industry stands for which is fun and entertainment. Eag 2025 will provide operators with an exciting window on the future of all aspects of the out of home entertainment industry.”

Visitors attending Eag will have access to the very latest product launches and innovations in out of home entertainment, be able to share insights and experiences with industry colleagues, keep abreast of regulatory changes, update on the latest developments impacting the high street and the pub sector courtesy of the Bacta Seminars and learn more about the latest developments in social responsibility on the Bacta Safer Gambling Hub.
